This small country in the heart of Europe that’s not part of Europe, with all it’s mountains – aka the alps – forests, rivers, old cities, cheese, chocolate, you name it … Yes, it’s perfect for cycling. Expensive, but perfect. At least for about 9 out of 12 months per year, as during the winter season you’re better off doing some other kind of exercise here than road or gravel cycling. Sure, mountainbiking in the snow can be fun as well, but you’ll still be limited in which roads you can ride and which you simply can’t since there is too much snow.
In fact, this country offers so much variety in regards to cycling that it simply doens’t make sense trying to cover it using words. Therefore I’m putting together a list of routes for you to browse through and maybe ride one or some of them one day.
